Landscape maintenace not landscape design

When asked to design a landscape for someone the first thing I think about is what chosen plants will look like 6 months, 1 year, 5 years down the road. The chosen plant may be perfect for the first year, but by year 5 it could be as tall as the house and/or blocking a sidewalk. Just because something can be cut down to fit in an area, it doesn’t mean it should be for the long term. Check out my Youtube video for how I design a landscape for the long term.
