A future where beautiful landscapes give something back.

Tenille Dixon Pawlus

I'm the owner of Butterflies and Blossoms FL, a Florida-Friendly landscape designer, consultant, and educator passionate about helping homeowners create beautiful outdoor spaces that work with nature—not against it.

I believe we can create beautiful spaces for ourselves without designing nature completely out of them. My goal is to help create a future where our landscapes give something back—to pollinators, wildlife and the environment around us.

My love of plants started long before this became my career. I grew up in a family where gardening and farming were simply part of life, and that appreciation for nature has stayed with me ever since. After more than two decades of living in Florida, I've developed a deep understanding of the plants, challenges, and opportunities that make gardening here unique.

Today, I specialize in designing thoughtful, low-maintenance landscapes that combine Florida natives with Florida-Friendly plants to create gardens that are beautiful, functional, and resilient. Whether you're working within HOA guidelines, looking to attract more pollinators, or simply overwhelmed by where to begin, my goal is to make the process approachable and enjoyable.

Education is one of my greatest passions. Through consultations, workshops, speaking engagements, social media, and digital resources, I love helping people understand not just what to plant, but why it works. When homeowners understand their landscape, they make better decisions—and that's when gardens truly begin to thrive.

I’m a FNGLA Certified Horticulture Professional, Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Certified Professional, GI-BMP Certified Professional, and certified in Landscape Design through Emory University.

My mission is simple:

Saving Pollinators One Landscape at a Time.

Because every landscape—no matter how big or small—has the potential to make a positive impact.

When I'm not working with clients, you'll usually find me tending my own garden, experimenting with new plants, photographing butterflies and bees, or enjoying the peaceful moments that only a garden can provide.

Remember to “Always Keep Growing.”
